Your data
Delete your account
Last updated: July 30, 2026
You can delete your CueActors account and its personal data at any time, for any reason, without asking us first. There are three routes: in your account on the website, inside the app, and by email for when you cannot sign in or have already uninstalled.
On the website - if you are signed in
Sign in and open Account → Privacy. The deletion flow sits there, next to the data export and the rest of the privacy controls.
In the app
Open Settings, scroll to Your Data and tap Delete Account. You will be asked to confirm with your password, or with your two-factor code if you have that switched on - that step exists so a borrowed phone cannot delete your account.
By email - if you cannot sign in
Send the request from the address on the account. We check that a request came from the account owner before acting on it, and we respond within 30 days, as the Swiss nFADP and - where it applies - the GDPR require.
What happens, and when
Immediately
- You are signed out on every device.
- If you have an actor or agent profile, it is hidden at once - it drops out of search, discovery and cast lists straight away.
For the next 30 days
- Nothing is erased yet. This window exists because a verified actor profile - filmography, headshots, contacts - should not be destroyable by one mistaken tap.
- You can cancel the deletion yourself by simply signing back in. The account returns exactly as it was.
After 30 days
The erase runs automatically and cannot be undone. It is not a flag or a hidden account - the data is removed.
What is erased
- Your actor or agent profile, with its credits, trailers, showreels and awards.
- Every image you uploaded - avatar, headshots, agency logo - deleted from storage, not merely unlinked.
- Follows, watchlists, collections, ratings, reviews, episode progress, recently viewed titles and randomizer picks.
- Notification preferences, push tokens, and the log of notifications sent to you.
- AI assistant queries and suggestion history.
- Casting inquiries and replies, and representation requests.
- Actor claims and any credits you submitted for review.
- Subscription records and their event history.
- Login and security data: password, two-factor secret and backup codes, sessions, verification and reset tokens, and the record of your recent sign-ins.
What is kept, and why
One anonymised record remains, holding no personal data: the email is replaced with a non-routable placeholder, the display name with a generated handle, and every other field is cleared. It exists so that counters and audit trails elsewhere in the system stay internally consistent instead of pointing at nothing. It cannot be signed in to, cannot be contacted, and cannot be traced back to you.
Shared catalogue entries - films, series and the people in them - are not personal data and are unaffected. If you had claimed an actor page, the claim is released and that page returns to the public catalogue.
Cancel a paid subscription separately
This is the part people get wrong, so it is worth being blunt about it: deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play. Those are billed by the store, not by us, and only the store can stop them. Cancel yours at Apple subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions, before or after deleting - but do cancel it.
Want a copy of your data first?
Both the website and the app can export everything we hold about you as JSON - on the website it sits next to the deletion flow in Account → Privacy, and in the app under Settings → Your Data → Download My Data. Do that before deleting, because afterwards there is nothing left to export.
Changed your mind?
Sign in again within 30 days and the deletion is cancelled. After the grace window there is nothing to restore, and we cannot recover it for you - not as a matter of policy, but because it is gone.
